Gazebo Penguin
-
All-Season Solarium
Bottom Line
This beautiful hardtop gazebo is wonderful because it’s suitable to withstand harsh weather elements no matter where you live.
About
This gazebo measures 12’x12’, so it offers plenty of space to place furniture, while still being comfortable when a few people are over. Hooks are also available for you to install hanging lights if you plan on using the gazebo at night. Sliding doors allow for easy access and those doors can be installed and positioned wherever is most convenient for you. The strong powder-coated aluminum build, the 100% rust-proof baked enamel finish and UV-treated polycarbonate roof combine to make this our top choice for hardtop gazebos, since homeowners can enjoy it for many years to come without experiencing a significant amount of wear and tear.

It’s hard to find any customers who don’t like this product, and everyone seems to invest in it for different reasons. The most common reason why people choose it is because it protects their hot tub and still gives them some room to hang out. As far as assembly goes, it seems as if your level of handy skills makes a big difference in how long it takes. However, most people claim it will take at least two people to assemble the gazebo due to the size of the pieces. One thing people have said about this hardtop gazebo is it’s not weatherproof, so there’s a chance rain could enter if you don’t do some weatherproofing on your own. All-in-all, this is one of the top choices for many reasons, and there are very few complaints about it.

Gazebo with Mosquito Netting
Bottom Line
This gazebo offers shade, comfort and an aesthetically pleasing appearance without having to spend a significant amount of money.
About
The 10’x12’ footprint is perfect for setting on most backyard patios or even out in the yard. The vented roof allows for adequate airflow and reduces the amount of heat stress on the canopy itself. And the powder coated steel frame makes it rust resistant. The gazebo comes with ground stakes, plant rings, mosquito netting, corner shelves and a center hook so you can personalize it for comfort and convenience. It’s a budget-friendly way to create a great outdoor environment for your backyard.

The overwhelming majority of customer reviews indicate this as being one of the best value purchases they’ve ever made. Not only does this gazebo look great, but it’s strong enough to hold up during storms and other weather events. And even more importantly, the assembly seems to be very straightforward and usually takes no more than a couple of hours for two people to put together. Most people use this gazebo for their back patio to shade them from the sun and mosquitoes, while allowing them to relax comfortably. The one thing to be aware of is this gazebo does not drain rain very well, which can cause the water to accumulate on the roof and potentially collapse. At the very least, the seams on the canopy could rip and you’ll be forced to purchase a replacement canopy. One customer has indicated unclipping the canopy on all four corners when rain is in the forecast is ideal and simple to do.

Chatham Steel Hardtop Gazebo
Bottom Line
This quality hardtop gazebo is perfect if you’re looking for shade without compromising open space.
About
This gazebo is not enclosed all the way around like some hardtop gazebos, but netting is available around it so you can protect yourself from mosquitoes or other weather elements if needed. The roof is made of durable steel, so it will withstand harsh summers and winters. And the 10’x12’ dimension is just the right size for most backyards. The components are also steel and aluminum and powder-coated to prevent corrosion, chipping and rusting. It’s the perfect gazebo for hanging out in the evenings or even hosting parties.

Since this hardtop gazebo isn’t completely enclosed, some people had concerns about it being able to withstand strong winds. For most people, this concern has been completely eliminated since it has held up in winds of up to 50mph without even being staked down. But the gazebo does comes with stakes to give you peace of mind if you need it. As far as assembly goes, you can expect two people to spend the majority of a day putting it together. It’s not incredibly difficult to assemble, but it is time consuming. One of the most critical reviews about this hardtop gazebo is the paint finish only lasts a couple years if it’s directly exposed to the sunlight, so you may have to repaint it.
