Worx Aerocart
-
Wheelbarrow with Flat Free Tires
Bottom Line
The Worx Aerocart is one of the smaller wheelbarrows you’ll find on the market, measuring at 42” x 12” x 18” and 49 lbs.
About
Don’t let its size fool you; Worx has fully intended for this tool to be both powerful and as easy to use as possible, and have kept this goal heavily in mind throughout the design process. As the name implies, this wheelbarrow is one of the more unique models out there in that it is capable of serving two functions; it can work as a wheelbarrow, a dolly and a yard cart with just a few adjustments for each “mode.” It’s also meant to work on two wheels rather than just one, making it easier to lift and push dirt, mulch and other gardening debris with much less effort. This feature comes specifically from the Worx Aerocart’s ergonomic lift abilities. This wheelbarrow ships with numerous accessories aimed specifically at gardeners, including a folding extension arm that allows you to haul additional supplies, a strap for flower pots, a rock mover, a bag holder and a cylinder holder. The Worx Aerocart also features durable tires which, according to the Worx company, will never flatten.
Editor's insights
As noted above, the Worx Aerocart was designed to be on the smaller end. Some consumers have expressed disappointment with the overall size of this wheelbarrow model, likening it to more of a toy than a serious tool. It’s worth keeping in mind that this wheelbarrow was not designed for heavy-duty work. Rather, it’s for the everyday gardener, someone of average to below-average physical strength, who needs something easy to wheel around the yard. Those who buy this wheelbarrow with that particular need in mind will be pleased with this unit. The ergonomic features make this wheelbarrow very easy to use, especially if you struggle with flexibility. Both our team and consumers alike estimate this wheelbarrow will last you a long while, even with generous use.

Seymour
-
Tray Lightweight Childrens Size Wheelbarrow
Bottom Line
This child’s wheelbarrow is marked by its bright red color and small size. It weighs at precisely 29 lbs and its dimensions measure at 25” x 17” x 9”.
About
The handles are made from a simple hardwood, and the tray holds in place with help from two braces at the front which attach to the wheel. Unlike the two wheelbarrow models discussed above, the Seymour WB-JR Poly Tray wheelbarrow has only one tire, made completely of rubber. The tray itself is designed to be lightweight; its material keeps it safe from corroding over time.
Editor's insights
It may serve as no surprise that the majority of consumers bought this wheelbarrow for their kids (or grandkids) to use. It’s light enough to be easy for children to push around, and strong enough to hold several shovels full of dirt. However, some consumers took issue with the manufacturing quality of this wheelbarrow; one reviewer expressed that the plastic seems to be a bit too thin, while two others stated their concern over the screws and bolts potentially causing stress to the plastic. At the same time, this wheelbarrow takes little time to assemble (about 30 minutes at the most) and your kids will enjoy using it to help out around the garden.

Marathon
-
Dual-Wheel Residential Yard Rover Wheelbarrow and Yard Cart
Bottom Line
This particular wheelbarrow may fit more closely into your idea of a “traditional” wheelbarrow.
About
The Marathon Dual-Wheel Residential Yard Rover Wheelbarrow is simplistic in design, though the aesthetically-minded will be pleased to know it comes in several color options: “lady bug” (red with black spotting), green and pink. It weighs a mere 29 lbs, marking it definitively as one of the smaller wheelbarrows you’ll find on today’s market. Its size and simplicity makes it easy to assemble. The cart of the wheelbarrow is capable of holding 300 lbs, measures at five ft3 and is guaranteed against rust. The wheelbarrow comes with two tires, which are lightweight and pre-filled with air.
Editor's insights
We find the light weight of this wheelbarrow to be its best feature. It is ideal for those who only intend to perform light work in the garden and need a wheelbarrow that is easy to maneuver; even kids can use it to help out in the garden. Consumers felt that while the wheelbarrow is very easy to assemble, the bolts weren’t of as high a quality as they should have been. You will also have to grease the axles of the wheelbarrow yourself prior to use. Overall, however, this wheelbarrow is sturdy and easily preferable over larger, heavier wheelbarrow models.
