If you see paint peeling of from your walls, or if you see dirt on the outer parts of your gutters, then these are also sure signs that you need to have them checked as well. Most commonly, leaves might be clogging the downspout of your gutters and you only need to get rid of them.

The downspouts that are found below your gutters are also among the items that responsible for draining water around your house. When rain falls, make sure that you check how it dumps the water. Too much water can dump close to your house’s foundation, which can potentially go through your basement. This can ruin your furnishings, flooring and all the others that can be found in your basement. To make sure that water drains off properly, you can try adding in some gutter extensions, or call in a professional to have your home’s foundation checked.
